The oat-hay bale was in the stable and the ponies were in the field, the question was how do we get the bale from the stable up the grassy hill of the paddock through the gate and into the field, under the trees!!
It happened, it got done.. a heck of a job under the relentless but beautiful African summer skies; 'whatever it takes'; with an attitude like that, everything is possible
The Herd saw all the action, you would of thought that they would have given us a hoof and a push, but oh no, Pulz was far too busy paddling in the water

and the others were grazing in the field with an ear twitched in our direction and a glance from time to time. The dedication Lovemore has for The Herd has no limitation; after rolling the bale about 500m up the paddock greens and along the field path to the shelter of the trees,
he rounded up The Herd; Pulzi splish sploshed her way out of the water and up the field towards The Herd and the others gathered to follow Lovemore's lead
Once on their way there was no stopping them, the bale was in their sights and it was like they were power-walking; seven horse power strong.
The Herd found their place, got stuck in and shared happy snorts between them
A absolutely fantastic time was had by all.
