At iYadi, meaning "yard" in isiXhosa, we offer more than just a space — we provide a forever home for injured, rescued, and retired horses, where they can live freely, peacefully, and on their own terms. Here, every heartbeat matters, and every moment is an opportunity for connection.
But iYadi is not just a sanctuary for horses; it’s a sanctuary for people, too. Our herd welcomes all who visit, especially those who might never have had the chance to connect with these gentle, intuitive beings. Whether you’re seeking quiet companionship, a moment of reflection, or simply the joy of being close to nature, our horses are here to share their presence with you.
We believe in the natural power of horses to support mental health and well-being. Through our DIY-style Equine Assisted Therapy, everyone is invited to engage in their own way—no experience needed, just an open heart.
Our herd also loves a good camera moment! From photographers capturing special memories to models, matric dance shoots, or creative collaborations, our horses bring a touch of magic to every frame.
In addition, iYadi proudly supports literacy through our Read with Horses program, where the calming presence of our equine friends helps readers build confidence and fluency in a nurturing, non-judgmental space.
Above all, at iYadi, it’s about connection—whether you come for healing, inspiration, learning, or simply to share time with these incredible animals, our herd is here to welcome you.
